Geoff was almost giddy. He could barely keep himself from bouncing on the old, worn cushions of the couch as he asked, “What’d you think?” The bassist’s eyes were still on the page, as though he was rereading – he probably was, for that matter – before he registered that Geoff was staring at him, a mile-wide smile on his face, waiting for an answer. He watched eagerly as Tim read another paragraph over again, thinking about what he wanted to say.
Finally, the bassist said, “It’s…very good. Very…realistic.”
“Really?” That did surprise Geoff—he certainly wasn’t innocent in the realm of sexual activity, but it wasn’t as though he had a wide range of experience to draw on, either. Especially when writing from the perspective of women.
“Is there anything you would change?”
He almost felt nervous as the bassist took a deep breath. Okay, so there was something.

The best thing that Geoff could gauge about Lexie, upon meeting her, was that she seemed to be perfectly okay with this whole…thing that he and Tucker had. She was aware that Geoff came first, that Geoff was the partner, and she had no intentions of coming between them. Tucker had even explained to her the deeper nature of their relationship – not just its openness, but the submissive role he played to Geoff’s dominant – and she appeared more than just supportive—she even seemed interested. The drummer hadn’t even noticed when Geoff managed to snatch the steaming mug from his own hand, humming with fascination as he brought it to his lips. Geoff made a slight groan at the temperature, too. It seemed nobody had the patience to wait for coffee to cool.
“You know, that’s actually never come up,” he noted, something in his tone suggesting that perhaps that had been an oversight on his part. “Why?”
“Your boy is in need of an education,” Frank explained without elaborating.
