Summary
Elena's had enough of witches and their ideas of destiny.
She's tired, exhausted, even. She just wants to catch a break, and now that she's back from the prison world and her family is safe, she's determined to sit back and let the chips fall where they may.
After all, she'd done her bit.
Esther Mikaelson was dead, she was no longer a threat to the delicate balance that Elena had found, so Elena could finally relax.
Unfortunately for her, Esther isn't the only witch that's been keeping an annoyingly close eye on her. From the shadows, a darker threat rises, and it was about to throw Elena's world into chaos.
