Like The Primus Trilogy before it, Transformers: Micromasters will use the concepts and tropes of the long-running Hasbro franchise as a framework for stories covering the fantasy, science-fiction, romance, murder mystery, horror and theological genres. As a toy line, the Micromasters were a Transformers sub-line available in the late 1980s. While the characters have appeared in licensed fiction before, this story has no connection to those tales.
