He straightens up, his back twinging a little in pain with how fast he had done so, and he lets himself lean a little on the table for support. He goes for a nonchalant route, but it fails halfway when Rosie gives him a look of weary disdain. He sighs then, hanging his head low and dropping the act; when it comes to Rosie, she's the only one nowadays that he remotely trusts enough to be genuine around. To be real.
“Not a one,” he says after a moment, and her ragged sigh echoes in his chest all the same.

“Luci…Lucifer. Make haste, boy, drop the triple. Allow our father to enter your body and cleanse your body. Quickly now, before the devil finds its home in you, boy.”

“I–,” Lucifer’s voice trembled. “I have sinned.” He whispered, voice cracking with the sheer intensity of vocalizing the words, knees trembling as he knelt down unsteadily, his brothers’ gasps ringing sharply in his ears. His ears rang, vision swimming as he knelt in front of the church’s large cross, laying bare to his brothers’ judgements. “Boy! You are the Morning star, our light bearer. Repent! Refute the devil! Lay yourself bare for our father!”
“Lucifer!”
“I–I cannot.”
