Aleksander’s lips quirk up into a smile, his grip tightening ever so slightly as he pulls her closer, and she goes, like a moth to a flame.
“Names have meaning,” Aleksander shrugs a little, the movement so natural and easy, that for a moment Alina envies him. Envies and desires this man, who has everything at his fingertips, who knows how to take and take — all Alina knows how to do is give. “Soon enough, Miss Starkov, I’m sure I’ll have yours.”
