Summary
With the threat of a deathless witch hanging over her head and an election bringing unrest to her city and her personal life Penny is overjoyed when her first and best friend, Ruby Rose, and her team arrive in Mantle to help with the coming calamity. However, this nostalgic joy is quickly overshadowed by unease as the two teams of huntsmen acts strangely distant in their new surroundings. Though optimistic Penny’s resolve to reconnect is soon tested as Amity goes further awry, the political landscape turns bloody, and her dear old friends seem to be holding back more than they’re letting on. With the possibility of destruction on the horizon as conflict darkens the kingdom she holds dear. Can Penny find a path through the chaos and give her homeland safe passage through this storm?
