Summary
Kenta had the most useless special talent of all of Tony's 'children'. He was an omega that didn't omega things: He had no instinct to nest, he didn't go into heat, he was 99% sure he couldn't have children, he smelled bitter instead of sweet and he knew better than anyone that he could rely on no one but himself.
Except now that Kenta was no longer under the stress and pressure that came with working for Tony and the foundation, all of those omega characteristics he didn't think he had, instead turned out to just be repressed deep, deep down inside him, but they were there all along. Which he discovers when Jeff notices he smells like he's about to go into heat for the first time.
Update: I like writing in this universe and have added a second coda, more might be in the works.

Kim gets Kenta's pups a phone so they have a way to call for help in case of emergencies. Tony uses it as a way to go after one of his grandsons, using messages as a way to send pictures and threats to the pup to force him to try to separate Kenta and his children from the pack and Kim. Kim doesn't know why his oldest stepson is suddenly so distant and anxious, but it seems to be more than just another emotional step back in his healing process as it threatens to destroy his relationship with Kenta and the little family they've formed together.
He wanted to drag them all back inside. Insist that they could work things out. If it were just Kenta leaving, Kim would grab him by the shirt and hash it out with him. But it didn’t work like that with pups. Kenta had to put his children first. He had to let them go.
“Will you still come by sometimes? At least for pack nights?” was all he could ask.
“...I don’t know. The pups… they need me. Maybe, if they want to.”

Summary
A mix-up at the pharmacy with Kenta’s suppressants results in the Omega unexpectedly going into heat. Told by Tony and others in the Foundation that an Alpha will lose control around an unmarked Omega in heat and attack them, the pups panic and kick Kim out of the bedroom, barricading themselves in to protect Kenta until his heat is over.
“Kenta-” Kim sat up and went to reach for his mate, wanting, needing to check on him. He could hardly believe that the other man was in heat, didn’t yet get how he could be when Kim knew Kenta took his suppressants regularly.
“GET OUT!” Taro shouted, shoving him as hard as he could, sending him toppling off of the bed, which he was apparently already close to the edge of.
As Kim stood up, arm aching from the fall, Taro did as well, growling before Kim could try to say or do anything. Buddy whimpered. Though he wanted so badly to make sure Kenta was alright, he couldn’t bear to be scaring the pups so badly. Taro was braced like he expected Kim to try to force his way past him, and Buddy’s shaking had increased.
