Unwilling to let their savior go, the Thane of Redhold holds her prisoner while the other Avvar Holds seek to capture her. As her status as a mage outside the Circle of Magi brands her an apostate, she can neither go back home, but neither can she simply accept this new life that was thrust upon her.
This is a tale laden with magic, spirits, gods, and demons based on the Dragon Age Avvar culture. In the midst of it all is a complicated enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance.

This is my Avvar Hawke alternate universe. Hawke was never from Lothering and she never ended up in Kirkwall, instead she was born to the Avvar of the Frostback Mountains, daughter to the Thane of Clan Hawkehold.
CHARACTER NOTES:
Most of the characters from Dragon Age 2 are also there in one way or the other with the exception of Isabela and Sebastian. Leandra's name i changed to Cathala and Malcolm's name i changed to Yoren. Both parents and both twins are still alive, at least for now. Anders came to the clan when he escaped the circle the final time because he knew Templars were unwelcome in the Frostbacks. Merrill's parents came to the clan when they were young and had to leave their Dalish clan because they had too many mages, Merrill was born into the Avvar clan. Varric is the clans contact to the Merchant's Guild and he sells them wares they can't make on their own and is a friend to everyone there. All of the other characters were born into the Avvar clan. -

The intended route would mean a few weeks worth of travel, and Anya assumed they would lighten up their dispositions by the time they reached Sulcher’s Pass. They would take the Imperial Highway to a Highever port, cross the Waking Sea and head through the Free Marches to Tevinter.
The inevitable fact of it was, however, that once on Sulcher’s Pass, everything would go wrong; as it was wont to do when Anastasia Trevelyan was involved.
