Summary
He never thought he would ever have his hands drenched in red ichor again. Never had he thought that he would hear the whispers of a dying immortal in his arms again. Never had he thought he would nearly buckle to his knees when his heart lurches to life to move his stagnant blood when the weight of his world in his hands was too light.
Never had he felt that he would want to wring out the heavens for this travesty as his infamous name foretells. How the drops of red blood ring in his ears, how they spill between his long pale white fingers, how his head bows forward, and the inky black curtain of hair spills forward as if to block out the rest of the world.

I love their version of Luffy and the crew.
Especially because Luffy actually let's himself be vulnerable in front of his crew. To a very teeny tiny degree.
Making him marginally more mentally healthy than canon Luffy.
