In the end, its really bad luck that gets him.
He'd chosen to take a tunnel Momo warned him about to get to the center of Kamigoe City. Trying to get through from the outskirts took too long, and too many undead wandered the streets for his comfort.
In his defense, the tunnel was supposed to be abandoned. Momo told him multiple times that if he went through it, to watch out for the yokai known as The Turbo Granny. Apparently, she hated men and loved to plant curses on them. All he had to do was not run away.
But considering there was a horde towards the end, and a creepy old lady standing in front of it, there really wasn't any choice. She grabbed his wrist, her nails digging into it until he began to bleed. All he could do was run.

This is a crossover between Soul Eater and Dan Da Dan. Disclaimer: I have only seen the anime for both of these (and I do intend to eventually read both manga but being an adult with a full time job and hobbies is hard, yo). This is mostly just a fun, interesting idea I had that I decided to run with. I have a general idea of where this story is heading and I have a lot of details I want to include, so more tags will be added as chapters are posted. I'm currently not sure how many chapters this will end up being.
