Summary
Jaskier pinned on his nametag and took one last look in the mirror. The red shorts barely covered his ass. These camp counsellor uniforms were cute. The summer was probably going to suck, but at least he looked good. Now that he had finished college, his parents had insisted he get a ‘real job’, because apparently being a musician didn’t count. So here he was, facing a month of terrible food, painfully early mornings, and bloodthirsty mosquitoes.
He stashed his suitcase under his bed and headed down to the lake for the counsellor orientation. He examined the crowd milling about, on the lookout for a potential friend, when a flash of light on the dock caught his attention.
A man - no, a god - was pulling himself out of the lake, water cascading down his muscled torso, sunlight glinting off his long white hair.
“Who is that?” he asked no one in particular.
“That’s Geralt, the athletic director,” a woman standing nearby answered him. “I know, right?” she added wistfully.
“Jesus.”
“Well, good luck,” the woman sighed. “Lucky for you, he’s gay.”
Jaskier smiled and straightened his nametag. This was going to be the best summer ever.

And Viktor didn't know what it was. Whether it was the proximity of their bodies, the lack of food or awareness in the midst of exhaustion, the temperature of his own face, the tenderness in Jayce's gaze when he said that, the board full of beautiful calculations made by Jayce's beautiful hands and mind, or the fact that the other – even tired and messy, with deep dark circles and disheveled hair – was so pretty and deliciously inviting from that angle.
He only knew that he couldn't stop his hands from touching either side of his face and pulling him in for a kiss.
