Summary
As the opening night of the House of Mouse gets closer, anticipation builds in Duckburg. However, Mickey’s success hinges on someone that the Duck family did not anticipate—or ever want to see again.
Seventeen years ago, Fethry’s older brother, Abner, shocked the entire family when he committed and readily confessed to a crime—burning bridges with his brother and cousins the entire way to prison. Now he’s out of prison and trying to get a carpentry business off the ground, keeping his head down, his guard up, and his distance from everyone—but especially one person in particular. And it's not his brother...
While Gladstone Gander is the most vocal of his dislike of Abner, Fethry continues to assert his belief that Abner is innocent. When both cousins ask Duck Avenger to look into the matter—one to clear Abner’s name, the other because he distrusts Abner—the hero finds that he also has some unanswered questions that prompt him to reopen the case.
Meanwhile, Della attempts to help Mickey when his band for opening night cancels and she seeks to get the biggest and best in music: Powerline! Except... her plan doesn't go according to plan. But nothing can stop Della Duck! Right?
