Summary
Dallas, 1999. Godric is trying to keep a firm hold on Area 9. Rebellion in the vampire world is festering as the Authority demands obedience ahead of the Great Revelation. The old order is splintering. Restless vampires claw for power, ready to drag Texas back into the Wild West of lawlessness.
After two thousand years, Godric is unraveling under the weight of his past. He’s exhausted. He has no patience left, no faith in his position, or much of anything else for that matter. Then, a woman who shouldn’t exist crosses his path, and she might be the key to helping Godric keep everything in Dallas from caving in, including himself.
