Summary
The cat lets out a startled chirrup, head snapping up as it rolls onto its stomach, when Wilbur accidently brushes an ear.
His instincts crash into him full-force, and Wilbur shifts, dropping on top of the kitten and winding his limbs as tightly around the younger as he can before he has a chance to even think about stopping himself.
The kitten lets out a startled, half afraid chirr, before slowly settling.
Wilbur hears a questioning mrrrp?, but ignores the trill, a purr starting in his chest. He closes his eyes, resting his chin on the kitten's head, between its ears. The action earns a disgruntled mrow, but Wilbur pays it no mind, pushing his head down further. The younger's ears flatten slightly to the sides because its head is so small, being a kitten and all, which Wilbur finds adorable.
Another mrrrp comes from the younger ragdoll, more irritated this time, and the ears on either side of his jaw flicker.
