The destiny of a world is a funny thing. You might think it moves along a set path, like a train along its tracks, but the truth is that even the smallest thing can make it skew wildly, spinning onto a whole new path entirely.
Nolan Grayson, Omniman, watches as Mark and the new Guardians of the Globe fight the forces of Machine Head, and he does what any father might do in that situation. He makes a mistake. The consequences of it will change everything.
In the aftermath, Mark and the forces of earth have to try and pick up the pieces, even as the clock ticks unknowingly downwards, towards a fate they do not even realise is enfolding them.
