Summary
It’s an exercise in trust, Tubbo thinks, as he watches his creation head towards the sea. Tubbo’s trusting Tommy with what is functionally a part of him, with how much he poured into it, and Tommy’s trusting Tubo with his own life. He trusts him to have wired everything properly, so that it doesn’t get overwhelmed by his magic, or, on the flip side, take so much of it that he gets depleted, both of which would quite literally kill him. It’s a careful balance between mechanic and conductor, and a difficult one to maintain. But Tubbo trusts Tommy, and Tommy trusts Tubbo, and that is enough.

These were the cornerstones of Tommy's existence. From as far back as he could remember, these elements had defined his world. To him, they were nothing more than the backdrop to his routine life—mundane, predictable, and unchanging.
Routine.
It was all about routine. The same sterile white walls, the same bland, unidentifiable soup served three times a day, the same lab coats, the same faces, the same unchanging environment. It was a monotonous cycle that Tommy had grown accustomed to. It was his normal.
