Summary
In the golden twilight of Aragorn's wedding to Arwen, Idrial’s heart breaks quietly. Berethor was never hers—not truly. But when the ever-watchful eyes of Legolas Greenleaf catch her in sorrow, he steps in, first out of mischief, then with growing desire. What begins as a ruse—a mock-courtship for the eyes of others—unravels into something devastatingly real.
Their fake affection becomes a wildfire, burning in gardens, on balconies, in shadowed alcoves—tangled limbs, whispered elvish, domination laced with devotion. She submits; he commands. She blooms under his praise, and he devours her with aching hunger.
But Idrial cannot stay. Her vows to Galadriel hold her back, and Legolas, unwilling to dishonor her duty, lets her go.
Years pass. When they meet again, a child walks at her side, sunlight in his hair and stormlight in his eyes.
Now the King of the Woodland Realm, Legolas must fight for the woman who haunts his dreams, the child born of their passion, and the future still promised beneath the white tree.
