Summary
Carla’s life has been nothing short of messed up. Her mother and father had problems, and often beat her and her siblings. One of her sisters went into prison. Her one and only brother never came home, and constantly stayed at his girlfriend’s house, leaving her to fend for herself. Her only solace was her sunny neighbour, Felix. However, in the summer of her ninth grade, he left for Spain.
Now 20, Carla is an emancipated adult, trying to live for herself. It isn’t so easy when she finds out Felix has come back, now as her next door neighbor again!
