* Greetings friends,
One night, I snuck into Ffarquhar Shed. I threw Thomas’ shed door open with a BANG! Thomas and Percy were terrified.
“YOU!” cried Thomas, “What in the name of The Fat Controller are you doing?! Why would you break and enter into my shed?!”
“It makes the foreword more interesting,” I replied. Percy was puzzled.
“What four words?” he asked.
“The ones in my stories,” I explained.
“Your stories only have four words?”
“No? Forewords come BEFORE a story…”
“Ah ha! So you’d need more than four words!”
“... Yes. I HAVE more than forewords.”
“But you said…”
That went on for a while so we’ll skip ahead 10 minutes, otherwise this foreword will be longer than the story that follows it.
“So,” I went on, “do you two have a story for me?”
Thomas and Percy’s faces lit up. They looked at each other and gave meaningful winks.
“We’ve JUST the story…” Thomas started.
“It’s about what happened to Toby and Mavis…” Percy added.
And now, that’s the story I will tell you. I hope you like it,

Summary
* Greetings friends,
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? Mind you, I say that every time…
I had been helping clean the engines on Duck’s branch line. One day, as I was polishing Oliver’s brass, Toad told me a rather amusing story.
“I hope you don’t think me forward for suggesting this, Mx.,” Toad said politely, “but such a tale would be rather fine for you to share with others, as I have with you, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Oh, totally,” I replied, winking, “how could I pass up the chance to tell the story where Oliver caused a tra…”
Sorry, you’ll have to read and find out. I know that’s a cliche. It’s an awful cliche at this point.
