I have never read or watched Twilight, but for some reason, this thing here is how I got out of my writer's block. Not trying to improve the story, just rewriting it my way inspired by all the top-tier memes and analysis videos I keep seeing on social media. Summary
Five years have passed since Bella graduated from Forks High School. Five years since her world came to a screeching halt and she found herself nursing the gaping wound that Edward left in her a second time. Bella was different now, stronger. She graduated from college and was dating again. A human, this time. He’s sweet, and Bella thinks maybe she could marry him. They’ve discussed marriage, but there’s no real rush.
On the anniversary of the day that changed everything for Bella, she gets a call from Sue Clearwater. Charlie is in the hospital after having open heart surgery, and Sue thinks Bella needs to come home to stay for a bit. Unsure how to feel about being summoned by someone other than her father, Bella returns to Forks and finds herself thinking constantly of Edward. Through keeping in touch with Alice, Bella knows that he’s in Europe, and wonders if he would read Alice’s mind and come back to Forks; come back to her. She finds herself hoping he does, but then Jacob Black doesn't give up without a fight.
