Please don't be Malfoy, she begged internally.“Ernest MacMillan and Luna Lovegood,”
Fuck, fucking fuck.

Summary
It starts with a spark. A literal, electrifying shock in third year that shatters everything Draco Malfoy thought he knew about the world, himself, and the inconveniently brilliant, infuriating Hermione Granger. What should have been a fleeting incident instead ignites a chain reaction of chaos that forces Draco to question the very foundations of his existence. Loyalty, power, blood purity, are now all concepts he'd once accepted without thought but now unravel before him, demanding he confront the uncomfortable truth: that he has a choice.
But, of course, no existential crisis would be complete without a secondary feathered antagonist. Enter Pavo (a peacock with a grudge). Between planning a pureblood rebellion, navigating friendships teetering on the edge of collapse, and dealing with his increasingly catastrophic attraction to Granger, Draco also finds himself locked in a deeply personal, deeply petty battle of wills with a bird.
