Working on an aquaculture farm at the coast, sirens are always something Cub has to keep in mind. As one of the only animals on Earth that actively hunts humans, it's important to consider the threat during working hours, or outside of them.
At the same time, hunting humans has put a target on the mermaid species's back, and Cub would do anything in his power not to be part of the problem of their endangerment. Everything deserves its place, afterall.
Even the stupid ones. Even the stupid ones that get themselves tangled in nets that are designed specifically to keep large predators away. The very expensive nets that are there with the express purpose of not hurting the surrounding wild life. God damn it.
