Summary
On the way to his birthday party, Izuku gets caught in spiralling memories— reminiscing on heat and heartbreak as he crosses streets and rounds corners.
He used to carry a power that once saved the world. He used to believe he could protect the ones he loved. But the war is years behind him now, and all he has left are the fading memories of the embers he once held and the ache of everything he gave up.
Tonight, the past holds him by the throat. And when old habits collide with old wounds, he has to make the choice of whether or not he will give into what he's held himself back from for so long.
