She checked each animatronic enclosure, even the ones she hated checking.
Borealis’s booth.
Snowfluff’s sleeping nook, covered in fake snow that stuck to her clothes.Then Dewdrop.
He was still standing exactly where she left him.
But his head was tilted a fraction lower.Nia froze. He was not supposed to move without a command.
“Okay,” she whispered to herself, rubbing at her arm. “Okay, you’re just tired. He does that sometimes. He twitches. They all do.”
But the hairs on her arms stood up anyway.
“N-night, Dewdrop,” she said out of habit.
