Summary
Yeon doesn’t know what scares her the most: the fact that she didn’t hear Doha come, or the fact that she knows it’s him, just because of the way his chest feels pressed against her back. One of his hands curls over her chest, the other around her waist, and she’s trapped, entirely enveloped by him.
“Doha,” she starts, but doesn’t know how to continue. Her entire body hurts, and she’s deadly exhausted. She doesn’t remember when was the last time she ate a proper meal, and even though she tried her best with a damp towel, she doubts she was able to properly rid herself of blood and spit. She feels disgusting, itchy on her own skin.
“Jeok-Yeon,” Doha breathes out, his mouth against her ear. She closes her eyes. It’s soothing. Hearing his voice, being close to him. She doesn’t understand why entirely; if it’s their powers balancing each other out, or something else—something related to the way Doha is always clinging to her, to the way it feels easier for Yeon to laugh in his vicinity.
Yeon tells herself that she is not giving up by allowing him to comfort her, she's just giving in. Those are two different things.

Summary
Would Jeok-yeon still feel safe if Doha brought this up? Whether he's right or not, it could completely shatter their relationship. Doha would be either accusing him of something he isn't, taking a go at Jeok-yeon's self-esteem and image, or uncovering her biggest, most dangerous secret.
Jeok-yeon had never trusted him before, but she did now. With her safety at least, in a way. With her home, with her personal space. Was Doha ready to break that trust?
No. No, he wasn't.

Yeon closes her eyes for a second. She feels tired. And she's freezing. She hasn't been so cold since those first times climbing up Pilju Hall. It makes her feel like a child, defenseless and weak and scared. Doha's severe expression does little to soothe those feelings.
The fact that she doesn't want him to let go is even more humiliating.

Summary
"I missed you, Doha," Yeon says, easy as breathing. But not enough to wait for me to come back, Doha thinks of arguing. But he can't. Yeon has had exclusive relationships before. She goes on dates if asked out. If he wanted to make this romantic, he could. Yeon would not deny him the opportunity; she may not even reject him, knowing how well they fit together.
However, Doha wants more. He doesn't want to just date her, he wants to marry her. Have a family with her, grow old and wrinkly with her.
If they date and Yeon breaks up with him… it's stupid. He knows it's stupid. How much long until someone else dares? Until Hamil breaks under his longing; until Soye decides what she wants? How much longer until Biseol just brings up their deal and they get married for the comfort of it, Baek-rang along for the ride?
"I miss you all the time," Doha replies, and Yeon laughs like he's being sappy on purpose rather than so true to himself that it almost hurts
