Sylus paces restlessly in another circle, a frustrated huff leaving his nose as his temperature climbs. He stops at the entrance of the cave again, gazing out into the vast grassland before him for any sign of his mate with increasing annoyance. Even as he strains his already heightened senses, all he hears is the coo of birds nearby and all he smells is the dampness in the air from the storm that just passed.
No whirring clicks, no smell of mechanical grease, no cyborg. No Caleb.
Sylus snarls, digging his claws into the stone wall he was leaning on and crumbling a chunk under the force of his grip. He shakes out the dust gathering in his palm and huffs again, turning to look for something else to destroy until a faint woosh catches his attention.
