After Rachel breaks up with Lee and Elle leaves for school, Lee is left on his own in Berkeley. He's made some polite friends but no one who gets him like his old girls. That is until he meets two girls on a road trip that is barely strung together with a thin plan until they run out of money. Caught up in their exotic differences to all Lee has ever known and desperate for companionship with strange people like him, he switches to online classes and tags along on their journey. You needed the money, you thought to yourself and you slipped on the silk stockings. "It's consensual", you tried to convince yourself that you weren't a homewrecker. You came to the kitchen and started scrubbing the counter before Mr. Flynn normally came in for coffee. You heard footsteps behind you and made sure to lean over the counter, nearly bare ass in the air. When you didn't hear his normal flirts you looked over and embarrassment splattered all over your face as you locked eyes with his youngest son, just as red-faced as you. The eldest son brushed past him and smacked your ass with the newspaper. "Nice, we get to see Pops' new toy." Noah bit into an apple as he eyed you up and down. You didn't know what to do, this wasn't part of the job. "Boys! I didn't know you'd be up this early," Mr. Flynn called out. "This is our new 'au pair'. Be nice to her or you'll hear from me." He pulled you close by your waist and you laid your gloved hands on his bare chest under his bathrobe sweetly. You wouldn't look either son in the eye. "Go on now, grab your breakfast and let your old man wake up in peace." Noah smirked something filthy and Lee you couldn't face. This wasn't part of the job description at all.

Who she met at college, well actually literally bumped into. Both of them living and loving their 20s until something comes through her letterbox one day, that is of course her & Sabrina's invitations to Lee & Rachel's wedding. Elle is happy at first but then it occurs to her she's gonna have to see him. This gets more complicated as the wedding is months & months away and Lee wants Elle there a month before, so they can hang out & has asked her to be involved in the ceremony. While Sabrina and Elle plan to go alone, something unexpected does happen before they even go back home.

Marco had a plan:
Get close to Lee to get close to Elle.
But the closer he got to Lee, the more he realized how dorky he truly was. Marco thought he was just the sidekick, but he was more. Lee was the adorable guy from his English class, the guy who was persistent enough to keep asking him to join his dumb kissing booth.
So he put his plan into action. Him and Lee began texting, at first one and off, then every few days, to everyday. It went as far as Lee coming over to help him babysit his little sister while Elle was in Boston. Marco began noticing things a normal person wouldn't notice; like how sweet and caring he was. Or how when he would get excited cause he win a game of DDM, his eyes would light up.
Marco loved the way he felt around Lee, he felt alive, like it was only the two of them in the world. With Elle, only felt frustrated because she never wanted to let loose. But he told himself he had to because of the plan, he thought they could have real chemistry if he really put work into it. Then he figured out that he like him way more than a friend should.
