Summary
Shipping containers aren’t known for being quiet. When Chloe hears the sound of doors opening, she returns to investigate — and catches Lucifer peering into an empty hidden compartment. He refuses to admit anything was stolen or even that the compartment exists, so Chloe takes it upon herself to find out the truth. Along the way, the Palmetto case rears its head again as Malcolm Graham is slated to be taken off life support. Now, Chloe is racing against the clock to solve two mysteries — and the answers she finds aren’t the ones she wants. When betrayal hits from all sides, who is she meant to trust: dirty cops or the literal Devil?

A thought niggles in the back of her mind as she reaches the end; something feels...off. It takes walking up the other side for her to realize what it is: the interior length and the exterior don’t match up. The exterior is longer...which means—
“There’s a hidden compartment,” she mutters to herself. “So much for never lying, Lucifer.”
Chloe decides to look further into her partner's mysterious cargo container and gets much more than she bargained for. Lucifer goes to great lengths in the hopes of saving his partner. And realizes a few things about himself along the way.

1x07 Wingman Canon Divergence AU.
Lucifer burning his wings whips Amenadiel up into a frenzied rage, resulting in the younger angel receiving a much more severe beating. In that instance, Lucifer prays to everybody and anybody who could possibly hear: he will die before he allows Amenadiel to drag him back down to Hell again. Little does he know, God is always listening. And his father has his own plans for the Lightbringer.
