Summary
In 283 AC, Eddard of House Stark, First of his Name, took the Iron Throne. And in the same year, his wife Queen Catelyn of House Tully passed in childbirth—giving life to Eddard's firstborn and heir, Robb Stark. Only a year later, the Wolf King married the lioness, and barely a year later in 285 AC, they had their own cub. And thus began the plotting of the lions, kept in check only by the Falcon.
Now, fifteen years into the reign of Eddard the Good, the Old Falcon is dead, and the Wolf King lies in bed, and constantly dosed with Milk of Poppy. And with the Falcon gone, the Old Lion serves as Hand once more. And with the Old Trout breathing his last, the Young Wolf has lost the fiercest of his protectors. So, the Lions begin their conspiracy—while the Great Stag and the Red Trout rise to defend the Wolf Cub from those who would see him undone.
