And the mascot of the school. The Uranium Human being. God it looked so weird. The white skin and black eyes made it look so uncanny.

Summary
Penny Lamb was not afraid of roller coasters. She wasn’t, really! But this specific one, the wooden Cyclone at Uranium City's Fall Fair, is so old and rickety that she has this weird feeling in her gut - an instinct that she shouldn't get on. A sense of deja vu, like she's done this before. But she hasn't. In fact, every roller coaster she's ever been on has been perfectly safe. Here, though... her mind is screaming DANGER! DANGER! at her, a red sign with bright flashing lights glowing behind her eyes. The carnie controlling the Cyclone looks less than thrilled to be there, and keeps nodding off. There isn’t much of a line for the coaster, despite it being the Fair’s biggest and most advertised attraction. A crow picks away at the remnants of a corn dog at the front of the line, and Penny can’t escape the instinct that the bird is an omen.

Penny has a feeling that they shouldn't get on the Cyclone. She's right, and it ends up bringing back more than just memories.
