After confronting Lucien, Azriel comes to the conclusion that the Autumn Court male will most likely be part of his life forever. As bad as that may sound, he decides to give him a chance, for Elain’s sake.
Everyone is under the impression that Lucien wants a mate. The truth is much more pathetic than that: he simply wants company. When a certain Illyrian male begins to give him some attention, Lucien finds himself enjoying it more than he should, especially considering it is ultimately for Elain’s sake.

Azriel is confused and Lucien is lonely. They will soon realize they have a lot in common and, by giving honesty a chance, they might just find true understanding and companionship.
