Summary
Sixty years after graduation, a lot has changed for Tohru and Kyo. Together, they moved away, built a life, and raised a family; together, they appreciated the gift of each successive new day. And eventually, together, they went back to the beginning: to Tokyo, and the Sohma Dojo, where 'family,' for Kyo, began.
These days, life in the dojo is significantly louder, with two of Tohru and Kyo's grandchildren and their parents also calling the dojo 'home.' Twins Ryuko and Torashi have always been there for each other, but teenage life was always bound to require some secrets. For Ryuko, she only wishes she could keep her secrets in peace; heartbreak and embarrassment are never easy to share, and that's assuming you want to, which she absolutely doesn't. Unfortunately for Ryuko, 'being listened to' and 'being heard' aren't always the same thing, and being taken at her word is a perpetual work in progress.
They mean well, Ryuko knows, but she doesn't care. All she wants is for everyone to actually listen to her.
