Drew’s health isn’t Harrison’s prerogative any more, not since they broke up. That doesn’t mean Harrison doesn’t still care. And just because it’s the right choice for now, doesn’t mean it always will be. Right?

He knows they’ve both been thinking about it. Come on. Harrison knows UST when he sees it, and Hal and Drew’s had been off the charts.
Maybe not as off the charts as his own and Drew’s. But that’s not the point.Look, Hal deserves a lot for what she puts up with from Harridrew, and it’s time they gave her what she deserves

Harrison has walked past this bookshop every day for a month, and he’s never once realised it’s there. That’s about to change, especially when he sees the guy working behind the counter.

Drew still disliked the Sock Hop. Despite this, he knew he was definitely going. That didn’t stop him from riling Harrison up about it, though.

Drew could manage being at Sidlesmith because it came with an expiration date, and then he’d move on like he always did. It didn’t matter if nobody here noticed him, he’d just pack up and leave when it was over. It’s easier to leave when there’s no one wanting you to stay.

Harrison doesn’t talk about high school much, but that doesn’t mean all the memories are bad. His prom date, for example? Perfect.

Summary
He tries to explain his lack of want to Harrison one day. It’s very hard to disappoint me, he says. I’m ready for it. Because he is. It’s as if his emotions filter themselves according to logic, naturally sorting themselves in a way that ensures that he can be as rational as possible. He just doesn’t want things that are pointless or stupid or impractical. He can’t let his heart do as it wishes, letting it run wild and free like Harrison and the other Fluffers do. His heart is always chained to his mind.
But Harrison just shakes his head with a smile. I don’t believe you, he says. I don’t think it’s hard to disappoint you at all. His smile twists like sunlight, and then Drew feels it, a sharp pang in his chest, a stinging want, stronger than he’d thought possible. As soon as he feels it, he suppresses it, knotting it deep within himself. The podcast can’t continue if he’s acting like a fool.
In essence: Drew doesn't think he wants anything. Harrison shows him how he's been lying to himself.

Movie nights with their friends are very different to movie nights with Drew alone.
