Summary
Time crawls around Toby as he stares into the flickering flames. Distantly, he registers the sensation of strong arms and a thick hoodie wrapped around his waist, holding him securely in place. Mundane yet somehow intimate conversation fills the air around him, all accompanied by the hazy smell of campfire smoke.
And yet, Toby sees only the searing orange of the flames.
