Summary
When the hunter, who was meant to rest in peace, returns to the mortal world, he is faced with his arch-enemy—the Monarch, whose fangs have long faded.
A sinister chess game that sweeps across the dark world unfolds once again. Ancient clans awaken from the shadows, plunging this pair of souls, bound by fate, into the abyss. This reunion is both a belated redemption and an even crueler cage.
When the Monarch sighs in the rose garden, “Perhaps we both were wrong,” the hunter is no longer merely a pawn of vengeance. Amid fragments of memories and hidden betrayals, they are forced to reexamine each other in the eternal night—and will eventually become the only lights that can pierce through all despair and shine upon one another.
