Summary
Eve is back in London healing after the disaster in Rome, trying hard to move on and forget Villanelle.
Villanelle thinks Eve is dead and is taking her grief out in the only way she knows how, by killing.In other words, this is a "rewrite" of Season 3 and 4- canon compliant up until the end of Season 2. There are some plot points that I have kept from the later seasons, however I took my own liberties on how they all unfolded so there is quite a bit of change. I have the entirety of this story written out and am currently working on the follow-up.
These chapters will only ever be in Eve and Villanelle's pov for this story, so anything that happens without them is "off screen"
I only just found these characters a few months ago. Back when it was airing, I was heavily into another fandom, and my hyper focus had my inspirations in a chokehold elsewhere. I am glad I found them now though, because I am able to give them the attention they rightfully deserve. I have no idea how active this fandom still is, but I write to get out of my own head, otherwise it won't ever shut up so hopefully there is someone out there that will find this and enjoy it. -

She’s about halfway down the aisle when someone catches her gaze out of the corner of her eye. Something in her tells her not to look, it’s definitely not a great idea to get distracted while walking down the aisle at her wedding, still even with that knowledge she can’t help her head from turning.
The person is staring back at her, hazel eyes. That’s the first thing she notices. It’s a woman whose hair is honey blonde and waved in a way that is in between formal and natural. She's wearing a slightly baggy dark blue suit with a white shirt underneath, the top few buttons are undone so Eve could see her throat and some of her collarbones.
She swallows heavily at the intensity of her gaze and realizes the woman has also stopped to stare at her. Eve feels a nudge on her arm and registers it must be from her mother beside her, easing her onwards.
She turns back to the altar where she is headed slowly and without any real want to. She wants to turn back, she won’t, she won’t.
She does, just a quick glance. There is no one there anymore, a blank worn wall is only there in the place of the foreign woman.

Eve knew this from their very first meeting in the woods, when an assassin pressed a gun under her own chin with a wide, open mouth smile. But there was always something else, something elusive. From the second she entered Villanelle’s flat she couldn’t find a single flaw. Her flat was chic to say the least. It was organized but not too much that it felt clinical like she might have expected. Nor was it cluttered, it was an in between that shouldn’t be allowed to exist. Why was she surprised her flat was as exceptional as her? Eve didn’t doubt everything in it cost more than she was paid in a month, which momentarily made her remember her lack of job, only adding to her fury.
The colors were muted which was a contrast to the assassin's bright personality. She would later find out her wardrobe and perfume collection made up for the discrepancy.
She had decided that’s why the blood was suddenly so vivid. Villanelle’s walls were pale, her comforter dull (but no doubt expensive), the clothes she was wearing were subdued in color. So the blood flowing from her open wound was all the more evident.
It might also be that she had never stabbed someone before. Or anything even remotely close to it.
Yeah, fuck that was probably it.
Or
Eve decides to stay after stabbing Villanelle.
