Summary
In 2015, Jon is working for the Library of Jurgen Leitner - helping to hide, contain, and study dangerous books of the Fears. When Leitner insists Jon is the perfect match to buy and utilize the newest artifact he's found, Jon isn't expecting to come face to face with the tattooed, threatening figure of the son of Mary Keay.
He's also definitely not expecting to have to make a split-second decision about buying his own Indebted.

Based on a post by @ splitting-infinities that reads: “please give me a jmart meet-ugly where jon, a librarian, goes to a poetry book release party at a bookstore and before it starts he's kind of reading the book being released. And as he's flipping through it some hot guy starts chatting him up, asking him like, "oh, what do you think of poetry? Did you like this poetry collection?" and jon is like "not really, the author's clearly enamored with keats and the poetry is overly abstract and it's a shame what literature and art has come to these days". and then he's like "what about you?" and martin just points to the book and is like. "oh I wrote that."“

But even so, ever since he saw the 'Kitty Kuddlers Wanted' sign up on the notice board in Martin's bookstore, he hadn't been able to stop himself from sneaking off on his lunch break to spend 45 minutes in an ancient thrifted armchair, cuddling a purring feline. After a painful day at the Magnus Institute's Library, Jonathan Sims comes home and finds a collection of tapes on his table. He decides to listen through them. His voice comes through. This version of him is the Archivist. As he unravels the mystery of these strange tapes, he attempts to intervene in the affairs of the Archives, where Tim, Martin, and Sasha are laying low as their boss, Elias Bouchard, turns into something hardly recognizable. They begin to work together to solve the mystery and find out what happened to the other world, as well as save their own from eternal fear.

He had little to no idea who this great uncle was; when asked about him, Martin's mother had just said his name was Glenn and he’d met him when he was a toddler. And since he lived so far away, she never saw a reason to visit or even talk about him. Why he included Martin in his will even though they’d only met once when he was a child was beyond him.

Martin inherits a farm from a great uncle he didn't even know he had and moves from the bustling streets of London to a small cabin in the countryside. There, he meets a wide array of people and learns that running an entire farm singlehandedly isn't the easiest task.
