Summary
The alternative storyline, which does not include the bloody incident between Aemond and Lucerys at Laena's funeral, is another canon storyline, with Lucerys, the future Lord of High Tides, being taken into the care of Lord Corlys Velaryon at the age of four, and growing up to be a calm, quiet, and almost silent individual with very little communication with his siblings (except for Rhaena and Baela).
