Summary
A novelization of my DAO playthrough, with added focus on my character's perspective. The title was taken from Dagna's words in Inquisition: "It was a dark time. There was one light."
In this fic I try to make sense of established lore to better fit my storytelling medium, which means some slight canon divergence, though the main events are mostly the same. Rereading the Hunger Games Trilogy inspired me to write in first person POV, and I want to focus on character voice as much as I can. If something a character says feels OOC to you, I would greatly appreciate feedback on making them sound more authentic.
