Summary
“So,” he starts, and Tommy takes another sip of his drink. It’s delicious, despite the lack of alcohol. “How are you, mate?”
“You suck at conversation, y’know? No matter how I feel, it’s like I’m obligated to say ‘good’ and I’m pretty sure everyone here will agree with me. Just say something, like, I dunno, some dinosaurs had feathers. That gives you more conversation.”
Bucket laughs, and a smile pokes at the edges of Tommy’s cheeks, and he forces it down. He takes another sip to hide it, just in case.
“I suppose you’re right. Anyways, I guess I’ll cut to the chase. How old are you really? You seem younger than my son, and he’s barely able to be in here.”
