“Earlier, you reached into my world,” Mito said. “I could sense it clearly. Yet you’re still leaning into insanity. Fight it. You don't need to let Him rule you.”
“You’re just trying to infect me like the rest. That’s what you do, right? You ruin everything you get your hands on.”
Mito’s expression hardened at that, and the thread of empathy he had for this Ian was ripped apart. He lunged forward but Ian seemed to have predicted it and threw himself across the bed. Mito turned around just in time to see Ian disappear into the corridor.
“Hold him down,” Mito commanded his minions. He rarely went soft, and it pissed him off that the one time he did it was thrown back in his face.
