How they had got here was a long story, formed of multiple interlocking couples, and then triads and more, before eventually settling into something where there was a space for all of them. So there was a choice of couples; Nathan might spend the night with Audrey, or Jess, or Duke, or Jordan. And sometimes there were triads; Duke inviting both Nathan and Audrey into his bed, or Audrey and Jess spending the night at Nathan’s place. But now and then they all got together at once and shut the world out for a night or a weekend to all enjoy each other.

This was inspired by a couple of lines in the blur song Chemical World, that go like this: "Peeping Thomas has a very nice view / Across the street at the exhibitionist," and the title is from another line in the same song.
It's not that Nathan has a habit of spying on people, but when faced with a view of a naked Duke Crocker, well … he is only human.
