Summary
Jake’s life is perfect. Suspiciously so, even. But there’s something - someone - missing, he can feel it down to his bones. Their absence has hung over him like a black cloud for far too long, their splinters have been drawn to him with no origin, and he knows he’s not the only one who feels it…he’s just too stubborn to ignore it and crazy enough to do something about it. Nowhere anyone’s looked has held answers, but he knows there’s one place no one dares to go, and one person no one dares to ask.
An impossible tower looms over Houston, and at it’s peak is the man who made the world. No one has seen him since the world was new, ever since he gave them a utopia and cut himself off from it for reasons no scholar can fathom. Jake intends to change that, because he’ll do anything to find his answers - and he’s not going alone, whether he wants company or not.
