Summary
“What are you smiling about?” Ilia says as Blake reenters the living room.
“Percy was up reading,” Blake says. She holds up the book. “Fourth grade reading level.” Ilia whistles quietly.
“He’s gonna blow all the other kindergarteners out of the water in the fall,” she says. Blake’s smile turns into a grin.
“It’s not a competition,” she murmurs, despite the pride blooming in her chest.
“Too bad, because he’d win,” Ilia says. “But listen, we can talk about how cool your kid is any time. I wanna hear about this new friend of yours." Blake’s smile takes on an altogether different tone.
“Her name is Yang,” Blake says. “She’s…” Blake doesn’t even know where to start.
“You slept with her?”
Well, okay, they can start there.
(blake left adam six years ago. she meets yang and attempts to be just friends. it goes swimmingly, all the way back to yang's bedroom. the only problem? blake's son, who yang doesn't know about.)

Summary
2 years, 8 months, 12 days. That’s how long Blake spent planning the heist of her dreams. It’s also how long she spent in jail. Now that she’s out, she gets to work. She’ll need a team of the best criminals she can find, a way to convince Yang to be her partner-in-crime again, and… a way to get back to how they were. Infiltrating and robbing the most exclusive event of the year might be easier than getting Yang to fall in love with her again.

Summary
“I don’t want you do something stupid on international television when you could’ve just downloaded Tinder,” Weiss says. Blake smiles—there’s the Weiss she knows—and goes back to folding her shirt.
“I’m not going to do anything stupid,” she says. “I’m not looking to meet anyone, and if I was, I wouldn’t go after wannabe reality TV stars. But they’re going to fly me all over the world, Weiss, and pay me more than I made in four years of royalties off my last book.”
“When you put it like that, it sounds almost reasonable.”
“That’s because it is,” Blake says. “Now help me pack or get out of my apartment.”
“Just promise me you won’t actually marry someone you meet on reality television."
(Blake agrees to become Remnant's next bachelorette for a lot of reasons, but getting married is absolutely nowhere on that list. Then, of course, she meets Yang.)
