Summary
“Zag?” Thanatos says. His voice is quiet, matching the rest of this gentle moment they’re sharing. Zagreus just hums without opening his eyes, a reflexive smile quirking at his lips just from the sound of his partner’s voice.
“I think I might not be a man.”
That does get Zagreus to open his eyes.

Summary
To most of his peers at Elysium Hills University, Thanatos is little more than the prodigal freshman who's already earned himself the position of first chair flute in the university's esteemed symphony orchestra. They don't know that he's spent the past four years recovering from a burnout, and that he's barely keeping it together.
Zagreus on the other hand, is seen as little more than the talentless hack who somehow managed to secure the last chair trumpet position. But when the pair become unlikely practice partners, they each begin to discover something in the other that neither one expected.
