Summary
Xie Wu grew up in 1600s China, where her darker skin led to ridicule for rejecting traditional beauty standards. After public punishment for wanting to become a warrior instead of living a life of servitude, an old woman offers her herbs to lighten her skin, but Xie remains stuck between self-acceptance and societal pressure.
Years later, she commits suicide and awakens as a Jiang-Shi, finding herself gaining powers over blood alongside the transformation. In a battle, her Stand attacks Osoro, causing immense suffering until Xie, revulsed by her actions, flees. Ultimately, she embraces her role as a Neighborhood Guardian, protecting her people while grappling with her identity.
