Summary
Optimus had temporarily stepped down as the main ambassador mech, the official reasoning being he wanted others to have their time in the sun. The real reason is because Dee had forgiven him for his malfunction and agreed to haul with him for as long as he allowed it.

Summary
Megatron hesitates letting go, holding the slipping servos firmly. He has a faint orange glint in his eyes even through the distance of their chairs in the Cybertron conference rooms.
Sometimes the humming of the matrix whispers callings of responsibility and greatness to the last prime of Cybertron. Without the matrix, Optimus Prime is just Orion Pax, albeit a little smaller. And both find comfort in that.
TLDR: They solve grievances in a world where Megatron joins the autobots by not letting Orion Pax go, the matrix still takes him away.
