Angels and demons walk among us each day, though they mainly choose to remain unseen. Relations with humans have caused some issues in the past, resulting in the fairly well documented half-angel-half-human species known as the Nephilim, of whom Phil Lester currently rules over. Once thought to have been wiped out, the Nephilim were merely hidden in a realm of their own, where they now thrive and live happily.
On the boarders of the Nephilim Kingdom though runs a large wall, and on the other side, a city of slums where the other half-breeds reside: the Cambions, half-human, half-demon. Dan Howell is their ruler, desperately wanting to liberate his people. So desperate, in fact, after making a terrifying discovery, that he finds himself with no choice but to ask for help from someone he can't stand: the Nephilim King, Phil Lester.
Yet Dan's idea is genius, and Phil can't deny that. What begins as a political alliance though, slowly builds into something much more heated...and much more terrifying.

Dan has ended up back in Manchester, for some fucking reason. When the stress leads Dan to a very literal crash-out, he has no one else to turn to but his new parasocial obsession. His aim is perhaps too accurate.
Phil is just a small town radio host, but sometimes he still dreams of internet fame and documentary filmmaking and uncovering proof of extraterrestrial life. After a mysterious crash landing destroys the town's only radio tower, his dreams come true in more ways than one.
