Summary
Her stomach hurts as she waits for him to answer--if he even will answer. They haven't texted or talked since the infamous night in Italy. Gerri is honestly surprised--she thought he would have broken down by now. Texted, emailed, maybe even shown up at her apartment groveling for forgiveness. The fact that he hasn't... Gerri knows she must have hurt him even more than she imagined. There was no way to avoid it, but she still feels like shit about it.

Roman gives Gerri some stress relief at the office.
Gerri gasps a little as he grabs her hips and brings her to the edge of her chair. She thanks every god she’s never really believed in that she’s wearing a skirt today and that she shaved this morning as Roman starts trailing kisses up her bare leg. He starts at her ankle, then her calves, then her knee--she had no idea the back of her knee was so sensitive until he gently rolls his tongue over it and she has to bite back a moan, but she still trembles and damn it, she knows he noticed.

Roman has an important question for Gerri on their one-year anniversary--just not the one she expects.
What Roman wants to say is that he wishes she trusted him enough to tell him on her own. That he wishes he didn’t always have to ask for more. Because it’s not fair to her--she’s given him more than he’s ever dreamed of already. Of course he’s grateful for that, but there’s still so much he wants to learn about her.
