Summary
Talanah takes Milu, her Thrush, on a trip to the northern extreme of the Sundom, for a rite of passage she herself once undertook with her Hawk Tarkas. A newfound sense of purpose has deepened her wish to train a new generation of hunters, and to reconnect with the memory of her lost mentor. A Nora exile named Nakoa joins them, sparking a connection with Talanah. But the lands have grown much deadlier since a young Talanah hunted there, and even the Sunhawk hasn’t faced all the threats waiting at the edge of the Claim...
